The Oprah Winfrey Scholars Program offers African women the opportunity to study in one of two graduate programs at Wagner: the two year Masters of Public Administration or the one year Masters of Science in Management of International Public Service Organizations. The Fellowship awards for either program will support tuition, housing, travel to and from the United States and a small stipend to cover books and miscellaneous expenses. Every year the government provides $360 billion as grant money to ordinary students. The money distributed averages around $4000 per family! Everybody is eligible for these sponsorships. Why should you be left behind? Nursing is a rewarding profession as it involves taking care of patients and making their lives better and brighter. However, there is acute shortage of trained nurses in hospitals and healthcare centers around the United States. This shortage is severe to the extent of making hospitals close down. Many of the healthcare centers facing the shortages are located in communities with poor health conditions.
